The Maclab Centre for the Performing Arts recently announced their 2018-2019 lineup, which includes a Performance, Family, and Special Event Series.
The centre, which has been run by the Maclab Centre for the Performing Arts Society since 2008, is a 460 seat venue that hosts a multitude of events and performances throughout the year.
This year, the centre’s Performance Series lineup includes shows by country/roots band GhostBoy, The Emeralds, the California Guitar Trio and Montreal Guitar Trio, jazz singer Matt Dusk, classical pianist Avan Yu, and the husband and wife duo, Twin Flames.
Maclab’s Performance Series also includes The Legend of George Jones – a tribute to the late country singer by fellow musician and songwriter Duane Steele and his band – and Hotel California: The Original Eagles Tribute.
For those looking to take the whole family out to a show, Maclab’s Family Series offers affordable afternoon shows with its own unique lineup of talent. This year performing artist Trent Arterberry brings his show, which promises to include lots of audience participation, to Leduc along with RupLoops and Indigo Circus who will also grace the stage for the Family Series.
In addition to their series schedules, the Maclab Centre has also added some extra special events to their calendar for audiences to enjoy this season. The first is a special performance in January by magician and escapologist Matt Johnson, who has appeared on Britain’s Got Talent and Penn & Teller: Fool Us. The second is a March performance by stand-up comedian Brent Butt, who is well-known for his comedy and TV series, Corner Gas.
Individual tickets, as well as three- or six-show series packages, are available for the 2018-2019 season beginning on Aug.13th.
Tickets to any of the Maclab Centre’s shows can be purchased online at www.ticketpro.ca, by phone at 1-888-655-9090, or in person at the Leduc Regional Chamber of Commerce office, which is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
